Then, what happened?
The story of Sacred is a long one, too, and there are many reasons as to why the project is not complete. But, nevertheless, we move forward. I am beyond thrilled about what the future holds for June 2014. Direction is clearer now than it ever was. The cast is very committed, very talented, and very willing. I am overwhelmed with how God is providing for us daily in pre-production. Regardless of last year's circumstances, we move forward, and do so with worshiping Jesus as our goal.
But, regarding last year's circumstances, and for the sake of the entire cast of 2013, I do want to say this: I apologize yet again for what happened. I take full responsibility for a lack of communication, a lack of follow-through on my part, and what appeared, at the time, to be one of the most disappointing ends to a project we loved. I feel that I have failed you as the [then] Executive Director of Redeemer's Song Ministries in regards to Sacred, and I want you to know that I have truly appreciated your counseling, your patience, your grace, and your prayers. Please know that all of you are never far from my mind daily. So, now what?
In less than two weeks, a new and refreshed cast and crew will be meeting (many for the first time) to pray together, to re-dedicate the project, and to make future plans for all technical aspects of the filming of Sacred. We film June 15 to 28, and covet your prayers every moment of this production process.
Follow our progress as I document via blog our cast and crew encounters, and watch as we create a story that means a little something to all of us.
Sarah, Director
