There is so much to say for community, especially in the family of God. The fact that we thrive in fellowship with other people is testimony to the fact that God created us to be social beings. Not just for the sake of warding off loneliness. We all agree, I think, that there are times we feel very lonely in a crowded room. Rather, He created us to serve and play and love together because He said Himself that, "it is not good that man should be alone" [Genesis 2:18]. This was the first thing in all of His creation that He said was not good. How profound, and it's incredible to witness what happens when He works through the coming together of believers with one eternal goal.
The cast of Sacred met for the second time Saturday, February 22. This workshop was not only an opportunity for everyone to again pray for the ministry and project of Sacred, but to learn more about their roles as crew members! That's right. Every single Sacred cast has an on-set responsibility. In this project, actors and actresses are not separated from those who work behind the scenes. They are the individuals behind the scenes: applying make-up, adjusting lights, moving cameras, recording sound, following the script, and so on. We're choosing to approach the project of Sacred much like a missions trip. Everyone has a role to fill, and everyone is important in many, many ways. This community is vital as a community, and not only as a single individual. I can't wait to see what God is going to do with these wonderful, talented people who have dedicated so much time to be this village that will raise this project together!
